Self-Declaration
regarding FSC-POL-01-004
(Policy for the Association of
Organizations with FSC)
The signing Organization is associated with the Forest Stewardship Council A.C., Oaxaca, Mexico, or one of its subsidiaries or affiliates (hereinafter: FSC) by being either a member of or having a contractual relationship with FSC. Hereby the signing Organization explicitly states that it has read and understood the “Policy for the Association of Organizations with FSC” as published under www.fsc.org. This policy stipulates FSC’s position with regards to unacceptable activities by organizations and individuals which already are or would like to be associated with FSC as well as the mechanism for disassociation.
In light of the above, the Organization explicitly agrees currently and in the future, as long as the relationship with FSC exists, not to be directly or indirectly involved in the following unacceptable activities:
a) Illegal logging or the trade in illegal wood or forest products;
b) Violation of traditional and human rights in forestry operations;
c) Destruction of high conservation values in forestry operations;
d) Significant conversion of forests to plantations or non-forest use;
e) Introduction of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations;
f) Violation of any of the ILO Core Conventions as defined in the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.

referente a la FSC-POL-01-004
(Política para la asociación de organizaciones con el FSC)
La Organización que subscribe la presente declaración está asociada con el Forest Stewardship Council A.C., Oaxaca, México, o alguna de sus subsidiarias o filiales (en lo sucesivo el FSC) ya sea por estar afiliada o por tener una relación contractual con el FSC. Por este medio, la Organización que suscribe declara explícitamente haber leído y comprendido la “Política para la asociación de organizaciones con el FSC” tal y como aparece publicada en www.fsc.org. Esta política estipula la postura del FSC con respecto a actividades inadmisibles emprendidas por organizaciones e individuos que ya están asociados o que podrían querer asociarse con el FSC, así como el mecanismo para disasociarse.
En vista de lo anterior, la Organización acuerda explícitamente ahora y en el futuro, mientras exista la relación con el FSC, no participar directa o indirectamente en las siguientes actividades inadmisibles:
Tala ilegal o comercio de madera o productos forestales ilegales;
b) Violación a los derechos tradicionales y humanos en las operaciones silvícolas;
c) Destrucción de altos valores de conservación en las operaciones silvícolas;
d) Conversión significativa de bosques a plantaciones o a usos no forestales;
e) Introducción de organismos genéticamente modificados en las operaciones silvícolas;
f) Violación a cualquiera de los Convenios fundamentales de la OIT según aparecen definidos en la Declaración de la OIT relativa a los principios y derechos fundamentales en el trabajo.
